I am happy to say, that Dustin, Travis, and I all completed the Marine Corps Marathon on October 31st, 2010! Woot-Woot! It was definitely challenging and painful, but we did it!

It was quite an accomplishment, but more than that, we got out there and we advocated for Starved 4 Hope. We had several people ask us about Starved 4 Hope, and hopefully, they will choose to get involved! Also, by the runners getting sponsors, we were able to raise money for Starved 4 Hope Capital projects.

(By the way, it is not to late to send your sponsorship money if you still wanted to sponsor one or more of the runners. Please refer to the previous post for details on where to send your contributions.)

We are so appreciative of the prayers that surrounded our race. We are thankful that none of us got any serious injuries from the run, though we will be sore for probably at least a week :)

In the future, we would like to see other people step up to "Run for Hope" by purchasing a Starved 4 Hope race shirt and finding people to sponsor them too! it is a great way to raise awareness and raise money! It doesn't have to be a marathon, it could be a 5k, 10k, half-marathon, or any race really.

If running for hope as an advocate for Starved 4 Hope is something you are interested in, please contact me at andrea@starved4hope.org

We will be getting together more information about running for hope and putting it on our starved4hope.org website.

Thanks again for your contributions.
